Meeting called to order by President Dan Cabrera at 7:00 PM.

The primary agenda items were: (1) Preparation for the first annual RCPOA Neighborhood Picnic at Verdugo Park on Sunday, July 17, 2005; and (2) Directors Liability Insurance.

Picnic: Kyle's Catering will provide Hamburgers or Hot Dogs, a drink, and chips for members at $5.00 per person.  We will plan and budget for 200 guests.  Other activities will include softball, horseshoes, membership sign-ups, croquet, and perhaps a putting green and basketball free throws.

Nick Friesen moved that the board approve a budget of up to $2000 for promotion and organization of the picnic.  Total cash on hand as of July 11 was $28,017.81 per Richard Lee's treasurer's report.  Motion seconded by Leanne Reynolds.  Carried unanimously in voice vote.

Picnic Advertising and Association Newsletter: Leanne Reynolds offered to design and mail a postcard and create signs promoting the Picnic.  She also offered to layout, print and distribute the Association newsletter, if others write articles including providing specifics about the August 21 Summer Social.  Helen Seltzer will get the Summer Social information to Leanne.  Dan Cabrera will write the President's Message and an article regarding the palms on Royal Boulevard.

Leanne also presented ideas, created by her husband Ron, for a new logo.  Directors agreed on the logo of green palms with the words "Royal Canyon Property Owners Association".

Directors Liability Insurance: Richard Lee and John Wolff continue to investigate and gather quotes for this insurance.

Web Site: John Wolff offered to create and host a web site and to setup an E-Mail address for the Association.  A goal was set to have them ready by the time of the Neighborhood Picnic on July 17, 2005.

Next regular scheduled Directors meeting: July 18, 2005 at the home of Helen Seltzer.
